No unwanted product loss of the trade chain
The untroubled shopping experience in the Wein&Co barstore in the Viennese Mariahilfer Straße is supported by most up-to-date video surveillance. About 2000 different wines are stored in the shelves of the attached shop and can be consumed until midnight every day. Thus, the safety of products is an important issue.
The flagshipstore, as one of the most frequented bars in the Viennese city, was chosen as the pilot project. Martin Auer, chief audit executive, states: “The installation of the cameras was successfully finished in a very short time and the system ready to use. Already after five months the inventory loss decreased considerably and the costs for the installation charged off. Apart from the automatic detection, for instance when a client takes something out of the shop area and thus trespasses a border in the video image, the intelligent KiwiSecurity software enables us to make additional and individual configurations.”
In the meantime further four shops were equipped with the KiwiSecurity system.
